Come join our small village playgroup, helping us to provide a fun, nurturing, educational environment for all. Offering childcare for children aged 2 ½–4 years, term time 9‑3pm

Hours

Days to be finalised, depending on number on roll, but approximately 3/4 days a week 9:00 am – 3:00 pm
24 hours a week

1 Year 6 Months

Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands‑on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work

• Set up activities to welcome the children, that are fun, and in line with planning
• Risk‑assess play room and garden, to make sure safe for children to arrive
• Meet and greet parents/children, being welcoming and friendly
• Follow policies and procedures at all time, promoting positive behaviour, in line with our policy
• Engage in activities with the children, expanding on their existing knowledge
• Work as part of a small, close‑knit team, to complete daily tasks, such as circle time, snack and lunch
• Maintain a safe environment at all times

Training

An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20 % of your working hours will be spent training or studying.
