Main duties of the job

The position available is for a Head Chef at Barchester Healthcare's Care Home in Chipping Norton. The role offers a permanent contract with a salary of £42,000 per annum. Working days and alternate weekends only, spread across 4 to 5 days a week.

Qualifications and Experience

City & Guilds/NVQ/SVQ or equivalent.
Leading, motivating and inspiring a team.
Good understanding of HACCP and COSHH.
Knowledge of modified diets using the IDDSI framework.
Experience with fresh seasonal food and nutrition.
Experience working with front of house team to ensure high standards.
Ability to create a warm and welcoming environment.

Your Role and Responsibilities

Lead, motivate and inspire a team; develop and upskill where required.
Menu development tailored around residents to deliver person-centred hospitality.
Work with fresh produce to deliver high quality and wholesome dishes cooked to the highest standards.
Bake fresh cakes, scones and breads from scratch.
Assist front of house team with setting up dining areas.
Work within budget, complete regular audits and stock control.
Create a warm, efficient and fun environment.
Ongoing recruitment and retention.
Manage the performance of the kitchen team and front of house.
