As our business continues to grow, we are seeking a skilled Paraplanner to provide high-quality technical support to our advisers and play a key role in delivering outstanding client outcomes.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong Paraplanner who enjoys analysing complex cases, producing high-quality suitability reports and contributing to a team where quality of advice is the priority.

The Role

Working closely with Financial Advisers, you will provide technical expertise and research support throughout the financial planning process. You will be responsible for analysing client circumstances, researching solutions and preparing clear, compliant suitability reports across a range of financial planning areas.

The successful candidate will become a valued member of a close-knit team that prides itself on professionalism, collaboration and delivering exceptional client experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare high-quality suitability reports across pensions, investments and protection.
• Conduct technical research and analysis to support client recommendations.
• Review and analyse existing client arrangements and provider information.
• Carry out product, platform and fund research using industry tools, including FE Analytics where appropriate.
• Support advisers in developing suitable financial planning strategies.
• Assist with complex technical queries and case preparation.
• Review and interpret information obtained through Letters of Authority (LOAs).
• Liaise with providers, platforms and third parties where required.
• Maintain accurate client records and workflows within Intelligent Office (iO).
• Keep up to date with industry, regulatory and technical developments.

Essential Experience & Skills

• Previous experience as a Paraplanner within an IFA, Financial Planning or Wealth Management practice.
• Strong technical knowledge of pensions, investments and protection.
• Experience producing suitability reports.
• Excellent analytical and research skills.
• Strong report-writing ability.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Desirable Experience & Qualifications

• Diploma in Financial Planning (or working towards Chartered status).
• Experience using Intelligent Office (iO).
• Experience using FE Analytics.
• Knowledge of cashflow modelling software.
• Experience supporting Financial Advisers within an independent financial planning environment.
