Overview

Ashton Community Science College is a well‑regarded school situated at the heart of the community. We are seeking a dedicated Senior Finance Officer to support the school’s business services team.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the business support services team with day‑to‑day financial operations.
• Manage accounts and payroll processes.
• Create financial reports and analyse budget performance.
• Handle procurement and monitor budget allocations.
• Provide administrative support to the finance team.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Accountancy or payroll background.
• Experience in business and financial management.
• Proficiency in report creation, procurement and budget monitoring.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask in a busy school environment.
• Reliable, motivated and able to work closely with senior staff.

Working Hours & Compensation

37 hours per week (Monday to Thursday 8:00‑16:00, Friday 8:00‑15:30). Salary: £32,061 – £36,363 (Grade 7, full‑time equivalent). The role is part‑time, term‑time only; salary will be pro‑rata.
