Financial Accountant - Lloyd's Syndicate

I am assisting a fantastic Lloyd's Syndicate with a Financial Accountant opportunity within their growing team. The role is mainly focused on managing the Syndicate's general ledger close, reconciliations and financial reporting under US and UK GAAP.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the general ledger close for the Syndicate and related entities, including transactional processing, journals and reconciliations for Group reporting under US and UK GAAP
• Monitor ledger integrity, investigate unusual balances and transactions, and identify opportunities to improve accounting and reporting processes
• Maintain and strengthen controls over general ledger balances, ensuring accurate accounting across years of account and classes of business, as well as reconciliation of bank, technical and other balance sheet accounts

About You

• Qualified or part-qualified accountant
• Experience within a Lloyd's Syndicate or insurance environment
• Good knowledge and understanding of the general ledger close process
