Corporate Tax Advisory & Compliance - Senior Manager - Cambridge

This is an excellent opportunity for a Corporate Tax Senior Manager to join a well-established and growing team, working with a genuinely diverse portfolio of clients across a broad range of sectors, sizes and ownership structures. The role offers a strong balance of corporate tax advisory and compliance , giving you the opportunity to build trusted relationships with clients while getting involved in a wide variety of interesting and commercially focused tax issues. You will act as a key point of contact for a portfolio of clients, providing practical advice and working closely with Directors, Partners and wider tax specialists where more complex matters arise.

The role

You will have the opportunity to:

• Take ownership of a varied portfolio of corporate clients, acting as a trusted adviser and key day-to-day contact.
• Provide corporate tax advisory and planning advice , working alongside senior colleagues and specialists on more complex or strategic issues.
• Oversee the delivery of high-quality corporation tax compliance, including reviewing computations, tax accounting and identifying opportunities for advisory work.
• Advise clients on areas such as loss relief, group relief, capital allowances and other tax claims , as well as more complex tax matters.
• Work collaboratively across the wider business, bringing together specialists from different areas to deliver a joined-up service to clients.
• Identify opportunities to develop existing client relationships and support business development , including attending networking and client events.
• Help clients access the wider range of services available across the firm, acting as a key relationship lead.
• Lead, delegate and review work effectively, ensuring high standards of quality and client service.
• Coach and develop Managers and more junior members of the team, helping to build the next generation of tax talent.
• Take responsibility for the commercial and financial management of your client portfolio.

About you

You will be a CTA, ACA or equivalent qualified tax professional with strong UK corporate tax knowledge and experience gained within a professional services environment.You will be commercially minded and client-focused, with the confidence to build strong relationships and provide clear, practical advice. You will enjoy working with a varied client base and a broad range of tax issues , rather than being restricted to a narrow sector or specialism.You will also be a strong team player and people leader, with the ability to coach others, manage competing priorities and take ownership of delivering an excellent service to clients.
