RG Consultancy are delighted to be partnering with a successful company based in Liverpool to recruit an experienced Financial Controller. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior Finance Professional to grow their career within a successful and well-established SME business.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Take overall responsibility for the firm's financial control function.
Produce accurate monthly management accounts and financial reports.
Lead the month-end and year-end processes.
Oversee preparation of statutory accounts and support the annual audit process.
Manage budgeting, forecasting and cash-flow forecasting.
Monitor financial performance and provide analysis to Partners and directors.
Ensure compliance with Solicitors' Accounts Rules, HMRC requirements and relevant regulations.
Oversee VAT returns and other tax-related reporting.
Manage and review balance sheet reconciliations, journals and general ledger activity.
Provide financial information and analysis to support strategic decision-making.
Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls and reporting.
Lead and develop a growing finance team of 4.
Work closely with Partners, fee earners and senior stakeholders across the business.
Drive improvements in finance systems and reporting processes.
Assist with financial projects and other ad hoc commercial analysis as required.
The ideal candidate:
At least 2 years' experience within a senior finance position
ACCA/ CIMA part/ Qualified is preferred but not a necessity
2 years' experience within legal or professional services environment
