Financial Controller

We are working with an established and innovative hospitality brand that is looking for an experienced Financial Controller to join their Head Office team in Cheltenham.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a technically strong accountant who enjoys improving processes, strengthening controls and partnering with the wider business to support continued growth.

Responsibilities

• Leading the production of accurate monthly management accounts and statutory reporting
• Managing the annual audit process and acting as the key point of contact for auditors
• Overseeing VAT compliance and financial controls
• Developing and embedding robust accounting processes and governance frameworks
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting and business planning activities
• Driving improvements across finance operations and reporting

Candidate Profile

• ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualification (or equivalent)
• Strong knowledge of UK GAAP, tax and compliance
• Experience working with accounting systems (NetSuite desirable)
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence non-finance stakeholders
• A proactive, hands‑on approach with strong attention to detail
• Hospitality, retail or multi-site experience would be highly advantageous
