Clark Wood are currently working with a highly regarded and growing mid-tier firm of Chartered Accountants in Central London who are looking to recruit an experienced Corporate Tax Manager / Senior Manager into their established Corporate Tax team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Corporate Tax Manager looking for their next step, or an established Senior Manager seeking a role offering greater advisory exposure, responsibility and longer-term progression.

The firm has an impressive and extremely varied client base, ranging from owner-managed businesses and growing entrepreneurial companies through to larger UK and international groups , with clients operating across sectors including property, hospitality, media, entertainment and professional services.

The successful individual will work closely with the firm's Partners and senior management, taking responsibility for a varied portfolio while providing both corporate tax compliance and advisory services .

Responsibilities will include:

• Managing a portfolio of corporate tax clients and overseeing the complete compliance cycle.
• Reviewing corporation tax returns and computations prepared by junior members of the team.
• Providing corporate tax advice and technical support to clients, Partners and colleagues across the wider practice.
• Working on a variety of ad-hoc tax advisory and planning projects.
• Dealing with HMRC enquiries and correspondence.
• Identifying tax planning and advisory opportunities across the client portfolio.
• Building strong relationships with clients and acting as a key point of contact on corporate tax matters.
• Working closely with Partners and other departments across the firm.
• Supporting, reviewing and developing junior members of the Corporate Tax team.
• Managing deadlines, workflow and expectations across multiple client assignments.
• Maintaining strong technical knowledge and keeping up to date with developments in UK Corporate Tax legislation.
• Playing an active role in the continued development and growth of the Corporate Tax offering.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will have:

• 4–5+ years' Corporate Tax experience gained within a UK accountancy practice.
• Experience at Manager / Senior Manager level , or be ready to make the step up.
• Strong experience across corporate tax compliance and advisory work.
• Experience reviewing corporation tax computations and returns.
• Strong technical knowledge of UK Corporate Tax.
• Experience managing and developing junior members of a tax team.
• Excellent client-facing and relationship management skills.
• The confidence to work directly with Partners, business owners and senior stakeholders.
• The ability to manage a portfolio and workload with a high degree of autonomy.
• CTA qualification is highly desirable.

This position would suit an ambitious Corporate Tax Manager or Senior Manager looking to join a growing London practice where they can take on greater responsibility, work closely with Partners and gain excellent exposure to complex clients and advisory work.
