  • Act on development-related claims, including disputes capable of affecting significant projects and investments.
  • Deal with specialist instructions involving injunctive relief, professional negligence, rent review and secured lending.
  • Guide clients through dispute avoidance, negotiation and settlement as well as formal court proceedings.
  • Build on your existing relationships while creating further instructions across the firm's real estate and commercial client base.
  • Combine your expertise with colleagues in areas such as transactional real estate, construction, finance and planning where matters require a multi-disciplinary approach.
  • Help enhance the profile and reach of the firm's contentious property offering nationally.

The Ideal Candidate

  • A Partner specialising in real estate litigation with substantial experience across contentious property matters.
  • A well-developed network and a demonstrable record of generating work.
  • Technical expertise across commercial property disputes, with the ability to handle strategically important and technically demanding instructions.
  • Experience acting for landlords, occupiers, developers, investors or other participants in the property market.
  • Sound judgement and a pragmatic approach to dispute avoidance, negotiation and litigation.
  • The confidence to manage key relationships and identify opportunities across the broader real estate sector.
  • A reputation and client proposition that would complement the firm's existing capabilities.

What’s on Offer

  • A Partner-level financial package shaped around experience, market position and commercial contribution.
  • The chance to take an established real estate disputes offering further within a firm advising clients across the full property lifecycle.
  • Access to a varied property client base spanning developers, investors, occupiers, financiers and other market participants.
  • Scope to handle both mainstream property litigation and more specialist areas of contentious real estate work.
  • Connections across transactional property, construction, finance, planning and complementary disciplines, enabling a broader service to clients.
  • A national appointment supported by the reach and resources of an international law firm.
  • The ability to influence how the contentious real estate offering evolves while retaining focus on your own areas of expertise and relationships.
