Role Overview
We are seeking a highly consultative Senior Data Analyst/ Business Data Analyst who combines strong business acumen with deepanalytical and Azure data platform expertise. The ideal candidate will workdirectly with business stakeholders, report owners, and customers to understandbusiness challenges, challenge requirements constructively, and translate theminto actionable analytics solutions.
This role requires a hands‑on professional who can performrapid data investigations, build proof‑of‑concept analyses, and bridge the gapbetween business needs and technical data solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Engagedirectly with business stakeholders, report owners, and customers togather, analyze, and refine business requirements.
- Translatebusiness requirements into SQL-based data analysis, reports, dashboards,and actionable insights.
- Performroot cause analysis and investigate data quality, reporting, andoperational issues.
- Developad hoc analyses, prototypes, mock-ups, and proof-of-concepts to validatebusiness ideas and requirements.
- Challengebusiness requirements constructively and recommend data-driven solutionsthat align with strategic objectives.
- Collaboratewith data engineering, BI, and product teams to define data models,metrics, and reporting standards.
- Interpretcomplex datasets and present clear findings and recommendations totechnical and non-technical audiences.
- Supportanalytics initiatives on Azure Data Platform technologies, ensuringalignment with business objectives.
- Drivecontinuous improvement in reporting, analytics processes, and datagovernance practices.
Required Skills & Experience
Technical Skills
- Strongexpertise in SQL with the ability to write complex queries,troubleshoot issues, and perform advanced data analysis.
- Proficiencyin Python for data analysis, data profiling, exploratory analysis,and rapid prototyping.
- Solidunderstanding of data modeling concepts , relational databases, andanalytical data structures.
- Experienceworking with Azure Data Platform technologies such as:
- PowerBI
