We're partnering with a growing UK business to appoint a Senior Legal Counsel on an initial 6-month fixed-term contract, with the potential for the role to become permanent.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a lean, highly regarded legal team, supporting a diverse range of commercial and strategic projects across the business. The role would be hybrid working 2-3 days in a Central London office.
You will provide pragmatic, commercially focused legal support across a wide range of matters, including:
Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a broad range of commercial agreements, including customer, supplier, technology, SaaS, procurement, data processing and confidentiality agreements.
Advising on commercial, legal and regulatory issues affecting the business.
Supporting contract negotiations and tender processes with both public and private sector customers.
Helping to improve contracting processes, legal templates and legal operations across the organisation.
Identifying and mitigating legal and commercial risks.
Working closely with internal stakeholders across sales, operations, finance, compliance and senior leadership teams.
Supporting strategic projects, including acquisitions, integrations, corporate transactions, governance and compliance initiatives.
About You
Qualified solicitor with approximately 5+ years' PQE (candidates outside this range will also be considered).
Strong background in commercial contracting, ideally gained in-house or through a mix of private practice and industry experience.
Experience advising on technology, software, data protection and wider commercial matters.
Commercially minded and confident partnering with stakeholders across a business.
Comfortable working autonomously in a fast-paced environment and managing a varied workload.
Exposure to public sector contracting, procurement, governance, compliance or corporate transactions would be advantageous.
