Interim Finance Transformation & Reporting Specialist – Leicester – Rolling Contract – £400 to £550 per day

Blusource are recruiting an experienced Interim Finance Transformation & Reporting Specialist to support a growing, private equity backed business in Leicester.

This is a hands on financial modelling and reporting project for someone who enjoys getting into the detail, taking a clear reporting requirement and building the solution that delivers it.

The business has grown and evolved, but its management reporting has become increasingly reliant on complex spreadsheets, manual processes and interconnected models. This creates challenges around consistency, version control and the amount of finance time required to produce and validate management information.

Rather than continuing to patch the existing process, they want to build something better.

The role

Working closely with senior finance stakeholders, you will be given a clear reporting requirement and access to the underlying financial systems data. From there, you will take ownership of building and delivering the solution.

You will

• Design and build new financial reporting and modelling solutions using Excel and Power BI
• Work with underlying finance systems data to produce accurate management information
• Develop reporting from senior management level through to more detailed operational views
• Improve the consistency, accuracy and usability of financial information
• Test and reconcile outputs, including YTD and LTM reporting
• Reduce manual intervention through reporting automation and process improvement
• Deliver a robust reporting suite that can be maintained by the finance team going forward

What we're looking for

This could suit someone with a background as a Finance Transformation Specialist, Financial Modelling Specialist, Finance Systems Accountant, Reporting Accountant, FP&A specialist or Power BI finance professional.

The title is less important than what you have actually delivered. We are particularly interested in people who can demonstrate financial reporting solutions they have personally built and delivered, rather than simply using established models.

You are likely to have

• Exceptional Excel and financial modelling skills
• Strong Power BI capability
• A strong understanding of management and financial reporting
• Experience within finance transformation, finance systems, reporting improvement or automation
• The ability to understand financial data as well as the technology used to model and present it

What does success look like?

The goal is to move away from overly complex, manual reporting and leave the business with a robust, accurate and repeatable reporting suite that the finance team can trust and build upon.

This is a rolling day rate contract and would suit an experienced interim or contractor available to make an impact quickly.
