Salary: £40,000–£45,000 + £15,000–£20,000 commission

We're working exclusively with one of the UK's leading contractor payroll providers as they invest heavily in the growth of their international offering .

With an established UK client base, international infrastructure already in place and increasing demand across markets including the US and Ireland, they're now looking for an International Account Manager to join the team at an exciting point in its growth.

This is a brand-new role working directly alongside the International Sales Director. Initially, you'll focus on maximising existing relationships and managing a growing volume of inbound international opportunities, with the scope to take on greater commercial responsibility as the division develops.

The role

• Manage and qualify inbound international sales opportunities.
• Work with existing UK clients to identify international requirements and opportunities.
• Understand client challenges and recommend the most appropriate solution.
• Prioritise opportunities and manage a growing pipeline.
• Produce quotes and illustrations for prospective clients.
• Coordinate introductions to international partners and remain involved throughout the process.
• Build long-term, consultative relationships rather than simply processing enquiries.
• Feed client and market insight back into the wider international strategy.
• Support events, networking and wider commercial activity.
• Develop into more proactive new-business activity as the international division grows.

Package

• c.£45,000 basic salary.
• c.£20,000 commission potential.
• Hybrid working – typically 2–3 days per week in Altrincham.

Ideal profile

• Experience within the umbrella, contractor payroll or closely related payroll industry .
• Account Management, Key Account Management or commercially focused client relationship experience.
• Strong understanding of the recruitment/contractor market.
• Consultative approach – comfortable understanding client challenges rather than simply processing enquiries.
• Commercially minded and able to qualify and prioritise opportunities effectively.
• Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
• International payroll/employment experience would be advantageous but isn't essential.
• Ambitious and attracted to joining a developing commercial function where the role can grow considerably.
