We are currently seeking an experienced UI Developer to join a high-profile programme with a leading global retail organisation based in London.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the development of modern, customer-facing digital products, leveraging React , Next.js , and modern front-end technologies to deliver outstanding user experiences at scale. You will collaborate closely with Product Managers, UX/UI Designers, and Backend Engineers to build engaging, performant, and accessible web applications.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and enhance modern web applications using React and Next.js .
Build responsive, pixel-perfect user interfaces from UX/UI designs and wireframes.
Collaborate with designers to ensure a seamless user experience across desktop and mobile devices.
Optimise applications for performance, scalability, accessibility, and SEO.
Work closely with backend development teams to integrate APIs and services.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to front-end best practices and development standards.
Troubleshoot, debug, and continuously improve existing user interfaces and applications.
Contribute to Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand‑ups, and retrospectives.
Strong commercial experience developing UI applications with React.js .
Experience building server‑rendered and static applications with Next.js .
Strong experience with HTML5 , CSS3 , SASS/SCSS , and responsive design principles.
Experience consuming RESTful APIs and integrating front-end applications with backend services.
Strong understanding of component‑based architecture and reusable design patterns.
Experience with source control systems such as Git .
Strong focus on code quality, performance optimisation, and accessibility.
Experience working within Agile delivery environments.
Experience with TypeScript.
Familiarity with state management libraries such as Redux, Zustand, or Context API.
Experience working with design systems and component libraries.
Knowledge of automated testing frameworks such as Jest and React Testing Library.
Experience within large‑scale enterprise or retail environments.
Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and modern development practices.
