Regulatory Solicitor

Are you a Criminal Solicitor who s been thinking about moving into regulatory law?

Then this could be the opportunity you ve been waiting for.

I speak to Criminal Solicitors all the time who tell me they d love to move into regulatory work but worry they don t have the right experience.

You might have more transferable experience than you think.

I m working with a highly respected legal team that is looking to appoint a Regulatory Solicitor to join its growing practice.

And here s the important bit:

You don t necessarily need previous regulatory experience.

If you re a Criminal Solicitor with experience in investigations, advocacy, hearings, evidence and complex case management, you could have a fantastic foundation for a move into regulatory law.

You'll have the opportunity to develop a genuine specialism, work on high-quality and often complex matters, and take responsibility for your own caseload from an early stage.

What makes this opportunity stand out?

• High-quality, varied regulatory work
• Professional discipline, investigations and enforcement matters
• Excellent salary
• Real responsibility and autonomy
• Hybrid and flexible working
• Support from experienced colleagues
• Genuine career development and progression
• A supportive and collaborative team

This is a particularly exciting opportunity for a Criminal Solicitor looking to move away from traditional criminal practice, while still making full use of the skills you ve built throughout your career.

Your experience in investigations, preparing cases, analysing evidence, advising clients and advocacy can all be highly transferable.

Already working in regulatory law?

I d love to hear from you too.

What are they looking for?

You’ll ideally be a qualified Solicitor with a current practising certificate and have either:

• Regulatory experience; or
• A strong background in criminal or commercial law with a genuine interest in developing a career in regulatory law.

You’ll need strong analytical and drafting skills, sound judgement, excellent organisation and the confidence to manage a varied caseload.

Most importantly, you’ll be keen to build your expertise in regulatory law and ready for your next challenge.

Could this be your next move?

Regulatory experience welcome. Criminal law experience very much encouraged.
