The Opportunity

A large enterprise organisation is seeking an experienced Programme Test Lead to support a major Workday transformation programme.

You will take end-to-end ownership of the programme's testing strategy, planning, governance and delivery. This will include ensuring that business processes, integrations, data migration, security and reporting are fully tested ahead of a successful go-live.

Acting as the central point of coordination, you will work closely with the internal Programme Team, System Integrator, Workday specialists, business stakeholders and third-party vendors. You will provide independent assurance around solution quality, programme readiness and testing risks.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and manage the overall programme test strategy, plans and governance.
• Lead testing across multiple Workday modules and associated systems.
• Coordinate system, integration, regression, data migration and user acceptance testing.
• Manage testing dependencies across Finance, Procurement, IT and wider business functions.
• Oversee defect management, reporting, prioritisation and resolution.
• Coordinate internal teams, implementation partners and third-party suppliers.
• Provide clear reporting on testing progress, quality, risks and go-live readiness.
• Ensure appropriate test evidence, controls and documentation are maintained.
• Support business stakeholders throughout UAT and operational-readiness activities.

Essential Experience

• Previous experience as a Programme Test Lead, Test Manager or similar.
• Strong experience leading testing for a large, multi-module enterprise system deployment.
• Workday implementation or transformation experience is highly desirable.
• Good understanding of Finance and Procurement processes or systems.
• Experience managing testing across integrations, data migration, security and reporting.
• Strong stakeholder-management experience across multiple business functions.
• Experience working with system integrators and third-party vendors.
• Excellent planning, governance, risk-management and communication skills.
