Transport Coordinator

MYM Recruitment are working with our existing Cookstown client who due to a current surge in business, are currently seeking to recruitaTransport Coordinator to join their growing and dynamic team based at their Cooktown office.

Key Duties/Responsibilities include but may not be limited to:

• Liaise with internal departments to obtain the information required to plan and fulfil delivery transport loads.
• Arrange and book transport with approved haulage providers, ensuring service requirements are met.
• Prepare, maintain and reconcile accurate load records and associated documentation.
• Issue dispatch documentation as required; ensure the timely return, filing and accurate recording of proof of delivery (POD) documentation.
• Provide general administrative support and undertake ad hoc duties, as required, to support the wider team.
• Maintain and develop professional and technical knowledge of all products.
• Support the implementation of Lean principles within the office environment, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Promote and maintain a positive professional image of the company in all internal and external interactions.
• To undertake other tasks as and when required by the General Manager

Essential Criteria:

• Minimum 1 year administrative experience
• Previous transport administrative experience preferred

• Exceptional attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• A self-motivated approach with the ability to work independently and use their own initiative
• Strong commercial awareness
• Demonstrated numeracy and literacy skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• A positive. enthusiastic and committed attitude
