Internal Sales Representative

VANRATH are recruiting for an Internal Sales Representative to join an established manufacturing business based in Derry.
This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and customer-focused individual to join a busy sales team, providing day-to-day sales administration and customer support. The successful candidate will play a key role in processing customer orders, responding to enquiries and ensuring a smooth and efficient sales process. The Role

• Process customer orders from initial entry through to delivery, ensuring accuracy at every stage.
• Respond to customer enquiries regarding orders, deliveries, pricing and product information.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, providing a professional and efficient service.
• Liaise with internal sales teams, Buyers and Planners to coordinate orders and delivery schedules.
• Maintain accurate customer records and update information on internal systems, including SAP.
• Prepare sales reports and maintain customer order status information.
• Assist with customer requests and manage information through electronic trading portals.
• Monitor order progress and follow up on any delays or changes, keeping customers informed.
• Assist with monitoring sales performance and reporting on expected sales where required.
• Handle customer complaints and queries professionally, escalating issues where necessary.
• Support the smooth day-to-day running of the sales and customer service function.

The Ideal Person

• Previous experience in internal sales, sales administration or customer service.
• Experience within a manufacturing or distribution environment would be advantageous.
• Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Confident using Microsoft Office and internal business systems; experience with SAP or other ERP systems would be beneficial.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workloads effectively.
• A proactive, reliable and team-focused approach.

Working Hours

• Monday to Thursday: 8am - 5pm
• Friday: 8am - 12pm
