Job Title: Quantity Surveyor (Various Levels)
Location: Banbridge, Co Down
Salary: £30-35k (Grad Level), £45-50k (Mid Level), 50k+ (Senior Level) all negotiable depending on experience
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday, 8:00am - 5:00pm (early finish on Fridays)
Overview:
Our client is seeking to expand their QS team with the addition of a Grad, a Mid Level and Senior level Quantity Surveyor to join their growing Banbridge based team. This role plays a key part in the successful commercial delivery of Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) construction projects, overseeing costs from pre-construction through to final account settlement. The successful candidate will be responsible for cost control, valuations, contract administration, variation management, and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities:

Ensure the successful financial delivery of mechanical and electrical construction projects.
Manage project costs, monthly valuations, variations, and change control processes.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers, consultants, and site teams.
Maintain financial oversight of projects, including job costing reviews, valuations, and final accounts.
Monitor and follow up on payments to ensure compliance with agreed contract terms.
Prepare and submit accurate monthly valuations based on site progress and work completed.
Complete project documentation and correspondence within agreed timescales.
Provide regular commercial reports and updates to senior management.
Review contract documentation and identify any potential risks, assumptions, or commercial issues prior to execution.
Develop and improve commercial processes, controls, and reporting procedures.
Support the wider commercial team and undertake any additional duties required within the role.

Essential Criteria:
Qualifications

Degree or equivalent third-level qualification in Quantity Surveying.
Working towards or already qualified with RICS, CIOB, or ICES.

Experience & Knowledge

Minimum 3 years' post-qualification experience in a Quantity Surveying role, preferably within the construction sector.
Strong understanding of cost value reporting procedures.
Experience administering JCT contracts from both client and subcontractor perspectives.
Strong commercial awareness and ability to identify and mitigate project risks.
Excellent IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Desirable:

5+ years' post-qualification experience within a construction-related Quantity Surveying role.
Experience working on Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) projects.
