Senior HR Officer - Belfast

Looking for your next step in HR? We're working exclusively with a leading construction organisation to recruit a Senior HR Officer to join their growing HR team.

With operations across NI, GB and ROI, this is a great opportunity for an experienced HR professional to join a busy business where no two days are the same. You'll have a broad role across recruitment, ER and wider HR projects, while working closely with managers and employees across the organisation.

The Role

• You'll be part of an established HR team, taking ownership of recruitment activity while providing day-to-day HR and ER support across the business.
• Managing recruitment from start to finish
• Getting involved in careers fairs, mock interviews and recruitment events
• Supporting managers with ER matters including investigations, disciplinaries, grievances and probation
• Supporting social value and employment initiatives across projects
• Helping deliver HR training
• Preparing monthly HR reports covering recruitment, training, absence and turnover
• Supporting employee wellbeing initiatives
• Assisting with HR policies and procedures
• Getting involved in wider ESG, Diversity Mark and Investors in People initiatives
• Regularly visiting sites and supporting careers and community activities

The ideal candidate

• Previous HR experience (ideally within construction, manufacturing or another fast-paced environment)
• CIPD qualified or working towards a qualification
• Strong ER experience and confidence advising managers
• Good end-to-end recruitment experience
• A solid understanding of employment legislation and HR policies
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• A proactive and approachable personality
