We are hiring for our client, who is seeking a Chartered Accountant to join its Belfast-based team, supporting clients with tax advisory and business funding.

This Chartered Accountant opportunity offers varied, client-facing work, direct exposure to senior leaders and comprehensive training. You will develop specialist knowledge of corporation tax, innovation-related reliefs and funding opportunities while helping businesses turn complex financial information into practical decisions.

The Role

• Build relationships with clients through telephone calls, emails and face-to-face meetings.
• Work with finance, operational and technical teams to understand their business activities and funding requirements.
• Support tax advisory work, developing expertise in UK and Republic of Ireland corporation tax, R&D tax relief and Patent Box.
• Develop your understanding of project accounting, management accounting and forecasting to support client work.
• Help businesses identify suitable grants and funding opportunities across Northern Ireland, Great Britain, the Republic of Ireland and the EU.
• Prepare professional advisory documents and funding applications, ensuring accuracy and meeting deadlines.
• Develop your knowledge of corporation tax software, group relief and the interaction between tax reliefs and funding.
• Work directly with senior leaders, gaining practical experience and guidance.

The Person

• A qualified accountant, with ACA, ACCA or an equivalent qualification.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex information.
• High attention to detail and a practical approach to solving problems.
• Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, with an interest in client-facing work.
• Able to organise competing priorities and deliver work within agreed deadlines.
• Interested in developing specialist expertise in tax advisory and business funding.
