This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Payroll & Accounts Administrator to join a well-established business in a varied role, taking responsibility for weekly payroll alongside accounts payable, accounts receivable and general administration.

About the Job

Reporting to the relevant management team, you will be responsible for the smooth running of the company's weekly payroll and day-to-day finance administration , while also providing support across sales and general business administration.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Processing weekly payroll , including maintaining holiday entitlement records for all employees
• Managing telephone, email and website enquiries
• Preparing sales quotations for the Cater Hire department in liaison with the Cater Hire Manager and customers
• Providing appropriate client payment terms on quotations, in conjunction with relevant managers
• Processing sales invoicing across the Marquee and Cater Hire divisions
• Managing the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
• Processing supplier invoices and payments
• Managing debt collection and ensuring customer accounts remain up to date
• Processing online banking transactions and recording payments and receipts on Sage
• Managing the company purchase order system, including issuing and processing POs and obtaining appropriate sign-off
• Assisting with online bookings and purchases as required
• Providing general administrative support across the business

Previous experience

• Previous experience in a payroll, accounts or finance administration role
• Experience processing weekly payroll is highly desirable
• Experience across accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Previous experience using Sage accounting and/or payroll software would be advantageous
• Good IT skills, including Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Excellent written and spoken English
