Head of Marketing - Hybrid

VANRATH is delighted to be partnering with a diverse and growing group of businesses operating across media, print, digital and creative services on the appointment of a Head of Marketing . This is a pivotal group role, shaping and delivering the marketing and communications strategy across a range of platforms and brands.

This is a hands on leadership post with full ownership of the marketing strategy across digital, brand, content and events. Working closely with teams right across the business, you will build innovative campaigns that strengthen brand presence, engage target audiences and support commercial growth.

• Permanent, full time, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5:30pm
• Omagh based, with travel to other group offices expected

The Role

Key responsibilities include:

• Develop and execute the overall marketing and communications strategy, aligned with company objectives
• Drive the growth of the customer subscription base, identifying opportunities to attract, convert and retain subscribers
• Lead the development of a key title as a brand, focused on growing subscriptions, audience engagement and awareness
• Lead and manage the company's awards programme end to end, from planning and promotion through to delivery
• Develop and manage the digital marketing strategy, making effective use of agreed tools, platforms and technologies
• Develop and oversee the web strategy, keeping the website engaging, optimised and aligned with wider marketing objectives
• Provide the Commercial team with high quality materials, content and insight to support sales activity
• Work closely with Commercial, Editorial and Digital teams to deliver effective campaigns and initiatives
• Monitor and report on marketing performance, using data to refine campaigns and maximise return on investment
• Stay ahead of emerging digital trends, technologies and best practice
• Maintain a strong understanding of the competitive landscape, customer behaviour and market trends
• Support the wider group brands with their marketing requirements
• Communicate the brand value proposition consistently across all channels, internally and externally

The Ideal Candidate

Essential

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, digital marketing, e-commerce, business or a related discipline
• Minimum three to five years' experience at senior manager level within marketing, e-commerce or digital marketing
• Proven track record of growing online sales, leads or digital revenue
• Experience managing and optimising websites and e-commerce platforms
• Strong understanding of digital customer journeys and conversion optimisation
• Experience with Google Analytics, GA4, Google Tag Manager and Google Ads
• Strong SEO knowledge and experience using SEO tools
• Experience with email marketing platforms such as Klaviyo
• Strong commercial awareness and the ability to interpret performance data
• Excellent project management and organisational skills
• Highly analytical with strong attention to detail
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Desirable

• Experience working across multiple brands or business units
• Knowledge of subscription based products and recurring revenue models
• Experience of CRM platforms and marketing automation tools
• Experience working with web developers and managing technical website projects
• Familiarity with UX design principles and conversion rate optimisation tools
• Basic HTML/CSS knowledge
• Experience with Power BI, Looker Studio or similar reporting platforms
• Experience within publishing, print, media or content-led businesses
