Management Accountant

Your new role
Reporting to senior management, you will play a key role within the finance function, supporting financial reporting, controls, compliance and ongoing business improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with the preparation and continuous improvement of monthly management accounts
• Supporting financial operations across multiple reporting entities
• Assisting with annual audit preparation and audit deliverables
• Preparing and submitting statutory and compliance reporting requirements
• Supporting credit control activities and strengthening financial controls
• Liaising with suppliers, customers and internal stakeholders on finance-related matters, including activity and rebate reporting
• Developing a strong understanding of day-to-day business operations
• Supporting the implementation, integration and development of new business systems and reporting tools
• Providing post-implementation support and user training across multiple sites
• Contributing to ongoing IT security and systems improvement projects
• Identifying opportunities to improve processes, reporting and operational efficiencies

What you'll need to succeed

• Part-qualified or fully qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMAExperience preparing management accounts within a manufacturing, industrial or FMCG environment
• Strong systems experience with accounting and ERP platforms
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships across departments
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and drive process improvements
• Experience supporting system implementations or change projects would be advantageous
