MCS Group are proud to be partnering with a leading public sector organisation in their search for a Human Resources Advisor to join their Organisation Development team in Antrim .
The Role
As a Human Resources Advisor, you will provide first-line HR advice and support to managers and employees across a broad range of HR matters. You will work closely with the wider HR team to deliver a professional, responsive and customer-focused service.
The role will cover a broad range of HR activities, including:
- Providing first-line advice and guidance on HR queries and processes.
- Supporting recruitment and selection, including job adverts, shortlisting and interviews.
- Supporting managers with absence, attendance and employee relations matters.
- Preparing contracts, job offers and pre-employment documentation.
- Assisting with disciplinary, grievance and other HR processes.
- Maintaining accurate employee records and updating HR systems.
- Responding to HR queries and managing shared inboxes.
- Producing HR reports and supporting wider HR projects.
- Advising managers and employees on terms and conditions and HR procedures.
- Supporting the review and implementation of HR policies and processes.
The Person
We are keen to speak with candidates who can demonstrate:
- CIPD Level 3 qualification or willingness to work towards this , or 4 years' relevant HR experience in lieu of the qualification.
- At least 2 years' HR experience providing first-line advice and support to employees and managers.
- At least 2 years' experience in recruitment and selection procedures .
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise workload and work to deadlines.
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- Good IT skills and experience using a range of computerised office systems.
- The ability to work accurately and effectively in a busy environment.
- A full current driving licence, or access to suitable transport where driving is not possible.
