Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 16:30
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time – 37.5 hours per week

TSM Technical is recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing business within the commercial entrance and access industry. We are looking for an experienced Aluminium Fabricator to join their workshop team in Staines, Surrey .

The successful candidate will be responsible for manufacturing high-quality commercial aluminium swing and sliding door sets, working across the full fabrication process from drawings and preparation through to assembly and glazing.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced fabricator who wants to join a growing business where there is a genuine opportunity to develop technically and progress into a leadership position within the workshop.

The Role

Working closely with the Head of Fabrication, your responsibilities will include:

• Manufacturing commercial aluminium swing and sliding door sets
• Working from technical drawings, survey information and specifications
• Learning to produce fabrication drawings and accurate, buildable designs
• Measuring, marking, cutting and machining aluminium profiles
• Preparing components ready for painting and assembly
• Using workshop machinery including punch tools, mitre saws, copy routers and pillar drills
• Assembling and glazing completed door sets
• Carrying out quality checks against drawings and specifications
• Preparing completed units for delivery and installation
• Working closely with the fabrication and project teams to ensure deadlines are achieved
• Assisting with loading and deliveries when required

What We're Looking For

Ideally, you will have:

• A minimum of 3 years' hands-on aluminium fabrication experience
• Alternatively, a strong carpentry or joinery background with transferable fabrication and design skills
• Experience working safely with workshop machinery and hand/power tools
• Confidence working from technical drawings and specifications
• Strong measuring and accuracy skills
• Excellent attention to detail and pride in the quality of your finished work
• A practical and methodical approach to problem-solving
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
• Ambition to develop and potentially progress into a workshop leadership role
• A full UK driving licence

Desirable Experience

• Experience reading or producing technical drawings, either by hand or using CAD
• Experience with Jack Aluminium commercial door profiles, including JD47 and TD68
• Counterbalance forklift licence – Category B1
• Previous experience manufacturing commercial entrance or door systems

Salary & Benefits
