Group Finance Controller
Chester | Hybrid Working (3 days in the office) | Temp to Perm | £70,000 - £75,000
Accountable Recruitment are delighted to be supporting a successful and growing Chester-based business in the appointment of a Group Finance Controller on a temp-to-perm basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional to join a dynamic organisation at a key stage of its growth journey. Working closely with the Group Finance Director, you'll take ownership of the finance function, lead a capable team and play a key role in improving controls, reporting and commercial decision-making across the group.

The Role
As Group Finance Controller, you will:

• Lead and develop the finance team across the business
• Take ownership of monthly management accounts and group reporting
• Ensure robust financial controls, compliance and governance
• Manage cashflow, forecasting and budgeting processes
• Partner with operational stakeholders across the organisation
• Drive improvements to financial systems, processes and reporting
• Support strategic projects and business growth initiatives
• Act as a key deputy to the Group Finance Director

About You
We're looking for:

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified accountant
• Previous experience in a Financial Controller or senior finance leadership role
• Strong technical accounting and financial reporting expertise
• Proven experience managing and developing finance teams
• Commercially minded with excellent stakeholder management skills
• Available at short notice or immediately available
