We are recruiting for an Accounts & Business Services Senior on behalf of a well-established accountancy firm to contribute to the firm's provision of a range of accounting, business services, tax and audit services to a varied client portfolio.

The ideal candidate will be qualified ACCA or ACA with significant experience gained within a UK accountancy practice environment.
As Accounts & Business Services Senior your responsibilities will include:
Supporting partners and managers in providing quality accounting and business services to a varied client portfolio
Planning assignments and overseeing the work of junior staff if/as appropriate
Preparing final accounts for clients – review accounts work of junior team members to ensure accuracy and quality
Business tax computations and draft corporate tax returns for review
Ensure all statutory returns are completed and filed on time
Planning and monitoring own workflow, and the effective financial management, of accounts work
Have input to fee quotes and to prepare for manager/partner approval as required
Build and maintain regular contact with clients by telephone, email, letter and in person, acting as a key day-to-day point of contact
Supervise, coach and support the development of trainees and junior staff, providing constructive feedback and guidance where required
To undertake any ad hoc projects as requested by the managers/partners
A good working knowledge of limited companies, sole traders, partnerships and charities is desirable, together with experience of accounts preparation, audit experience, corporation tax and management of client relationships.

Able to manage assignments with minimal supervision and have experience of supervising and supporting junior staff
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Good general IT skills and experience with accounting software
Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients and colleagues
