Start Date: ASAP
Build practical electrical design skills in a role where you can learn, develop and see your work become real equipment.
If you have some electrical or CAD experience and want to turn it into a career in industrial electrical design, this could be an excellent place to do it.
You will join a growing design team and work closely with an experienced Lead Electrical Designer, learning how electrical schematics, control panels and industrial equipment are designed and developed in the real world.
Our client is a practical, forward-thinking company that designs, programs and builds much of its own equipment internally. It takes pride in doing things properly and moving quickly when good ideas emerge. It is also a stable, down-to-earth business where people tend to stay, with many team members having been with the company for more than five years.
You do not need to arrive knowing everything. This role is designed for someone who has the right technical foundation, pays attention to detail and genuinely wants to learn.
Why You'll Want To Join:
What You'll Be Doing
You will support the electrical design process, producing and maintaining drawings and documentation while developing your knowledge of industrial control panel design.
Your role will include:
What You'll Bring
You may already have some practical experience, or you could be at the beginning of your career following college, university, an apprenticeship or other technical training.
Ideally, you will have an HNC, HND, BTEC or other relevant qualification in electrical or electronic engineering, electrical drafting or a related subject. Equivalent hands-on experience will also be considered.
You should also bring:
Exposure to BS 7671 Wiring Regulations or BS EN 61439 panel-building standards would be useful but is not essential. An interest in industrial, mechanical or heavy equipment, or some exposure to PLC-based control systems or motor control circuits, would also be an advantage.
This is a strong opportunity for someone looking to build real technical expertise rather than simply sit at a desk producing drawings in isolation. You will see how designs are translated into working equipment and learn from experienced people around you as your responsibilities grow. xwwtmva
As part of the application process, you will be asked to complete a short online recruitment process which takes approximately 10 minutes. This helps both you and our client understand whether the role, working style and requirements are likely to be a strong mutual fit.
