MEM Northampton is recruiting a MIG Welder – to join our team(s) based in Northampton, Northamptonshire.

Due to sustained growth and increased product demand, we are looking to recruit team players with a positive can-do attitude. Practical, hands-on, good communication skills, a willingness to work flexibly and attention to good housekeeping. Manufacturing background desirable but not essential.

Other Information:

This is a permanent position with the client directly.

Duties Include: (full training will be given):

• Working in a fast-paced manual environment, the role is to tack and weld metal components as per drawing, in accordance with Company standards, specifically;
• Use of measuring equipment for checking quality of parts before and after process
• Limited use of air and electric hand tools
• Maintaining a high standard of housekeeping
• PPE supplied; air-fed weld helmet, safety glasses, ear protection, overalls, gloves, safety boots (and visors where relevant)

Job Requirements:

• Needs to be able to weld to AWSD1.1 / AWSD15.1 standard
• Ability to read drawings - Work to tight deadlines
• Willingness to work flexibly - good communication skills
• Practical, hands-on person - Manufacturing background desirable xwwtmva but not essential

Shift Pattern:

Monday to Friday

6:00 -14:00 - £16.25 AM

14:00 - 22:00 - £17.25 PM

22:00 - 06:00 - £18.25 NIGHTS
