Mechanical Site Manager

Our client is looking for an experienced and hands-on Site Manager to join their team, working on residential building services projects.

The successful candidate will have proven experience within the residential construction sector , with mechanical building services experience being essential . You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of site operations, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, on programme, and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day running of residential construction sites.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, trades, and site operatives.
• Ensure mechanical and associated building services works are delivered in accordance with drawings and specifications.
• Monitor progress against the programme and ensure key deadlines are achieved.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship and quality throughout the project.
• Ensure all site activities comply with health & safety requirements and company procedures.
• Liaise with the Project Manager, clients, consultants, subcontractors, and site teams.
• Conduct regular site inspections and monitor progress.
• Manage deliveries, materials, plant, and site resources.
• Identify and resolve site issues promptly.
• Coordinate snagging, testing, commissioning, and handover activities.
• Maintain accurate site records, reports, and relevant documentation.

About You

The successful candidate will have:

• Essential experience in mechanical building services.
• Proven experience as a Site Manager within the residential construction sector .
• Strong understanding of mechanical installations and building services.
• Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating multiple trades on site.
• Good knowledge of construction health & safety requirements.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• A proactive, hands-on approach to site management.
• The ability to work to tight programmes and deadlines.
• Relevant site management qualifications, such as SMSTS , CSCS , and First Aid , are desirable/required as applicable.
