Role Overview

GAC Education, a specialist education recruiter, is appointing a SEMH Teaching Assistant in Warrington. You will work with a dedicated consultant and a setting that needs reliable, supportive, and resilient cover.

Key Responsibilities

Support pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs on a 1:1 and small group basis

Utilise de-escalation techniques and encourage emotional regulation in the classroom

Follow the school’s behaviour, safeguarding, and pastoral expectations

Feedback to the class teacher, SENCO, or cover lead on pupil progress and wellbeing

Requirements

Right to work in the UK and an Enhanced DBS with Children’s Barred List (or willingness to complete one)

Experience supporting children or young people with SEMH or complex behavioural needs

Patient, resilient, empathetic, and classroom-ready

Pay & Benefits

£85.00 to £115.00 per day
