The Opportunity
Lotus Recruitment is recruiting for a growing health technology consultancy that works with innovative health-tech businesses to develop commercial opportunities within the NHS.
We are looking for a proactive Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join the commercial team and play a key role in generating new opportunities.
This is very much the engine room of the sales function. You'll support outbound prospecting, identify and engage potential clients, keep CRM and follow-up activity organised and help deliver targeted outreach campaigns.
It's an excellent opportunity for someone at the earlier stages of their B2B sales career who wants to develop their commercial skills and progress as the business grows.
You don't need to come from health-tech or have previous NHS experience. We're much more interested in finding someone who is confident speaking to people, commercially minded, organised and genuinely keen to build a career in sales.
What You'll Be Doing

• Supporting outbound B2B prospecting and lead-generation activity.
• Researching prospective businesses and relevant contacts.
• Supporting telephone, email and other outbound activity.
• Maintaining accurate CRM data and follow-up records.
• Helping prepare and deliver targeted sales campaigns and outreach sequences.
• Following up prospects consistently and professionally.
• Working closely with the wider commercial team.
• Learning the company's proposition and developing the confidence to communicate it effectively to prospective clients.
• Building your commercial knowledge and sales skills as you develop within the role.

About You
You may already have experience in B2B sales, lead generation, telesales, business development or another commercial/customer-facing position.
More importantly, you'll be:

• Confident speaking to new people by telephone and email.
• Comfortable proactively approaching prospective customers.
• A strong communicator with good written and verbal English.
• Organised and able to keep on top of follow-ups.
• Comfortable using IT systems and learning CRM software.
• Proactive rather than waiting to be given every task.
• Commercially minded and interested in understanding how businesses buy.
• Comfortable working both independently and as part of a small team.
• Keen to learn, develop and progress within B2B sales.

A valid UK driving licence is required, along with the ability to travel when necessary.

Location
