Description

Partner with Priory

Thinking about moving into private practice but not sure where to start? Or already working independently and looking for the security of regular referrals? Partnering with Priory allows you to build your practice with confidence - without the stress of going it alone.

Priory Hospital Altrincham are seeking a highly skilled, qualified, and experienced highly specialised psychological therapist to join our hospital team. This is a self-employed, sessional role offering flexibility around the centre's needs and your availability.

Why join Priory as a Sessional Partner?

At Priory, you'll be part of a compassionate, multidisciplinary team committed to delivering personalised, evidence-based care that helps people move forward with confidence and build healthier, more fulfilling lives.

This role is designed for a practitioner capable of managing a complex clinical caseload. You will deliver tailored, formulation-driven interventions to individuals who require nuanced, specialised psychological support.

What we offer:

  • Steady patient flow - referrals provided, so you can focus on therapy rather than marketing
  • Credibility & trust - work under the nationally recognised Priory brand
  • Clinical and admin support - access to clinical space, billing, and administrative support
  • Flexibility - choose the days and hours that suit you
  • Team connection - the independence of self-employment without professional

What you'll bring to the role

We welcome applications from therapists able to offer one or more of the following modalities (delete as appropriate):

CBT, Integrative Therapy, EMDR, TF-CBT, Family Therapy, or other specialist modalities.

You will:

  • Hold professional registration with HCPC / UKCP / BABCP / BACP / NCPS / BPC / ACAT / ACP (as appropriate)
  • Have a minimum of 2 years' post-qualification experience
  • Demonstrate strong clinical judgement and excellent communication skills
  • Be confident working within clinical governance frameworks, including digital systems, concise clinical notes, and attendance at risk management meetings

Accreditation: Accreditation with a relevant professional body is required. In certain circumstances, we may consider applicants who are working towards accreditation, provided this can be completed within 12 months of appointment.

What we will give you in return

Starting out or expanding in private practice can feel daunting. Partnering with Priory removes much of that burden while preserving your professional independence.

Practical details:

  • Competitive sessional rates with active patient flow
  • Autonomy - you manage your own caseload
  • Background checks - DBS and regulatory checks covered by Priory
  • On-site benefits - free or discounted parking and subsidised meals at many locations

If you're committed to making a difference and want to work flexibly within a supportive, professional environment, we'd love to hear from you.
