Are you an experienced Interim Head of Housing Needs looking for your next leadership challenge? As Interim Head of Housing Needs, you will play a pivotal role in shaping housing services, driving performance, and ensuring residents receive outstanding support across a broad and complex portfolio.

Reporting into senior leadership, you will provide strategic direction across key statutory housing functions while leading service improvement initiatives and maintaining high standards of operational delivery. Your Role as Interim Head of Housing Needs

Housing Needs, Homelessness Prevention, Housing Allocations and Housing Solutions services
Ensure compliance with Housing Act Part VI & VII and the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017
Drive service transformation, performance improvement and operational excellence
Provide expert advice to Members, senior officers and external partners on housing strategy and policy
Support housing development and housing supply initiatives alongside Registered Providers and key stakeholders

Your Previous Experience as an Interim Head of Housing Needs

Significant leadership experience within Local Authority Housing Services
Strong operational knowledge of homelessness, housing options and statutory housing functions
Proven ability to deliver service improvement and organisational change programmes
Experience building effective relationships with Members, senior leaders and external partners
Track record of managing high-performing teams in a complex and demanding environment

This assignment would suit an experienced Head of Housing, Housing Needs Manager, Housing Operations Manager or Assistant Director seeking a rewarding interim opportunity where you can influence strategy, improve services and leave a lasting legacy.
