Hays Specialist Recruitment are working with Mid & East Antrim Borough Council to source a qualified and experienced Environmental Health Officer to support their team for a 6-month period based from their offices in Larne.
Your new role
This is a fixed-term contract position for 4-6 months, working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday. You will be based in Larne working within the Public Protection, Health & Wellbeing Division, reporting to the Principal EHO.
Duties and responsibilities:
Carry out the appropriate inspection; investigation; assessment or activity within defined Environmental Health functions.
The remit of this post may cover one or more of the service areas below in the first instance.
However, the post holder may be required to provide/develop expertise in any area listed as required to meet the needs of the service:
What you'll need to succeed
Applicants must have a degree in Environmental Health and hold membership of the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health.
AND have 1 year experience of the following:
Hold a full current driving licence valid in the UK and access to a form of transport that meets the needs of the post.
