An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join a highly regarded independent veterinary hospital in South West London. This position would suit a confident vet who enjoys managing cases from initial consultation through to diagnosis, treatment and follow-up, whilst contributing to the continued growth and success of an ambitious independent practice.

The Role

This is a varied position suited to an experienced Veterinary Surgeon who is confident managing both medical and surgical cases.

Responsibilities will include:

• Managing cases from first consultation through to diagnosis, treatment and follow-up
• Medical work-ups and ongoing case management
• Inpatient and hospitalised patient care
• Performing a range of routine and advanced soft tissue procedures
• Dental radiography and dental extractions
• Diagnostic imaging, including ultrasound
• Maintaining excellent clinical records
• Providing exceptional client communication and care
• Working collaboratively with colleagues across the practice

About You

To be considered, you will ideally have:

• MRCVS registration
• 3+ Years of small animal practice experience
• Confidence managing cases independently
• Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills
• Experience working up both medical and surgical cases
• Competency in soft tissue surgery
• Experience with dental radiography and extractions
• Ultrasound experience, including emergency and abdominal scanning
• Excellent communication and client care skills
• Strong clinical record keeping
• A proactive and collaborative approach
• Commercial awareness and enthusiasm for contributing to the success of the practice
