Employment Type: Permanent - Full Time

Location: PC - Kneesworth House

Compensation: £13.45 / hour

Description

Priory Hospital Kneesworth is looking to recruit a Cleaner to join our team. This is a permanent full time role. Working hours are Monday to Friday 6am to 2pm.

We know that a clean, safe environment is essential to delivering outstanding care. That's why our Cleaners play such an important role in our services.

We're looking for people who care and take pride in contributing to an essential service. You don't need previous experience - just a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn. In return, we'll support you with full training and the opportunity to be part of a team that makes a real difference every day.

Located in Royston, Hertfordshire, within a purpose built facility and spacious grounds, Priory Hospital Kneesworth House is a level 2 rehabilitation service, which provides a range of specialist recovery pathways, all at one site.

The hospital also provides acute and psychiatric intensive care, medium and low secure services, and bespoke therapeutic placements. Priory's acute and PICU services aim to allow more people to be treated closer to home and we support the NHS to repatriate out of area patients back to local areas.

What you'll be doing

• Maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment across the site
• Following cleaning schedules and Priory standards
• Using cleaning equipment safely and effectively
• Reporting maintenance issues, damage, or hazards
• Working as part of a team to deliver a high quality service
• Supporting colleagues where required

What you'll bring to the role

Our work is rewarding but can be challenging, so resilience is key. No two days are the same! Your natural empathy will help you support others through both the highs and lows.

• Good standard of English, with basic numeracy and literacy skills
• Previous cleaning experience is helpful but not essential - full training will be provided
• Reliable with a strong work ethic
• Good attention to detail
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Physical stamina to carry out an active role throughout the day

What we will give you in return

We want you to succeed at Priory and thrive in your role. You will be well supported with regular career conversations. We also offer full training and numerous pathways into leadership and qualified clinical positions to help you shape your career with us.

• Contributory pension scheme
• Flexible benefits including reduced rates and access to new schemes including gym membership, IT technology (laptops / tablets / smartphones) and Healthcare Cash Plan (Simply Health Scheme)
• Access to development opportunities
• Sponsorship of professional qualifications through our Individual Professional Development (IPD) panel
• Leadership & management development opportunities
• Long service award
• Refer a friend bonuses
• And an additional days leave on your Birthday!
