Salary: £55k to £65k

Head of Education Services – The Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced education professional to take a senior leadership role within a growing, commercially focused education business. The Head of Education Services will oversee educational quality, safeguarding and service delivery, ensuring consistently high standards while supporting operational efficiency and sustainable growth. Working closely with the senior leadership team, you will lead and develop the education function, strengthen processes and contribute to wider business objectives. The role requires someone who can balance a passion for educational excellence with a sound understanding of commercial performance.

Head of Education Services – Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the education function, ensuring consistently high standards of educational delivery, safeguarding, quality assurance and learner outcomes
• Manage, mentor and develop a high-performing education team, creating a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement
• Take a commercially focused approach to service delivery, managing budgets, understanding operational costs and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, performance and profitability
• Work closely with senior leadership to support business growth, service development and the implementation of effective operational processes
• Build and maintain strong relationships with Local Authorities, commissioners, schools and external partners, ensuring services meet contractual expectations and stakeholder requirements

Head of Education Services – You:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), with current or recent Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) experience
• Significant leadership experience within education, ideally gained in SEND, Alternative Provision or specialist education services
• Experience working within a commercially operated organisation, with a strong understanding of budgets, cost management, operational performance & the commercial considerations involved in delivering education services
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, ideally with experience working alongside Local Authorities, commissioners and external education partners
