Are you a practical, reliable and proactive individual looking for a rewarding premises role in a school environment? We are seeking a Premises Assistant to support the day-to-day running, maintenance and security of a busy secondary school in Hammersmith & Fulham.

Position: School Premises Assistant
Salary: £33,000 per annum
Contract: Full-time, asap start
Hours: Monday to Friday, 12:00 pm-8:00 pm, with a 45-minute unpaid lunch break.This is an excellent opportunity for someone with premises, facilities, maintenance or site management experience who takes pride in maintaining a safe, secure and welcoming environment for students, staff and visitors.

The Role - School Premises Assistant in Hammersmith & Fulham, West London

Working alongside the Premises Manager and senior leadership team, you will help ensure the school site remains safe, secure and well maintained. You will carry out inspections, identify maintenance issues, support contractors and assist with the effective management of the school's buildings, equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities: School Premises Assistant in Hammersmith & Fulham, West London

Carrying out regular inspections of internal and external areas, identifying maintenance and health and safety issues.
Supporting statutory testing, site inspections and compliance procedures.
Reporting defects and contributing to action plans to maintain the premises.
Helping coordinate contractors and communicating site management issues effectively.
Supporting site security and emergency procedures, including attending out-of-hours emergency call-outs when required.
Assisting with the general upkeep, maintenance and smooth operation of the school site.Working Hours

Monday to Friday, 12:00 pm-8:00 pm.
45-minute unpaid lunch break.
During school holidays, shifts will be arranged according to operational requirements in agreement with the Premises Manager.

You will be organised, hands-on and dependable, with a proactive approach to maintenance, site safety and security. Previous experience in premises, facilities management, building maintenance or a similar role would be advantageous. You should have good communication skills, the ability to identify problems and a commitment to maintaining a safe and welcoming environment.
