KS3 Tutor

Bridport, Dorset
£26.53 - £30/hour

We are currently looking for a compassionate and experienced tutor to support a Year 8 student in DT6 for 3 hours per week.

E is a bright young person who would benefit from a patient, nurturing tutor who can help rebuild her confidence and engagement with learning. She presents with significant Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, including high levels of anxiety, emotional dysregulation, low self-esteem, and Emotionally Based School Avoidance (EBSA).

E finds social situations challenging and can struggle to interpret facial expressions, social cues, and the intentions of others, which can increase her anxiety and impact her ability to engage with education. She also experiences sensory processing differences that affect her tolerance of noise, clothing, and aspects of daily routines.

Academically, E requires support with literacy, numeracy, and information processing. Due to her anxiety and disrupted education, she will benefit from a tutor who can deliver learning at an appropriate pace whilst creating a safe, predictable, and supportive environment.

The ideal tutor will:
