Estimator - Civils & Earthworks
Location: Remote working with 1 day per week in Wiltshire
Contract: 6-month rolling contract, with further work expected
Rate: £500 per day
Payment: Limited Company

The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Estimator with a strong background in civil engineering and earthworks to join our client on a 6-month rolling contract.
This is an excellent opportunity for an estimator looking for a predominantly remote role, with just one day per week required in the client's Wiltshire office. With further work expected beyond the initial contract period, this role offers the potential for ongoing opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

·Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for civil engineering and earthworks projects.
·Review tender documentation, drawings, specifications and project requirements.
·Assess quantities, materials, plant, labour and subcontractor costs.
·Use Causeway or similar estimating software to prepare and manage estimates.
·Liaise with internal teams, suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing and technical information.
·Identify commercial risks, opportunities and potential cost savings.
·Support the tendering process from initial enquiry through to submission.

Requirements

·Proven experience in an Estimator role within civil engineering, with a strong focus on civils and earthworks.
·Experience using Causeway or a similar estimating package.
·Strong understanding of construction costs, quantities and tendering processes.
·Ability to interpret technical drawings and tender documentation.
·Excellent numerical, analytical and organisational skills.
·Ability to work independently and manage deadlines effectively.
·Willingness to attend the Wiltshire office one day per week.
