With a reputation for delivering high-quality infrastructure projects, they are looking to appoint a General Foreman to oversee the day-to-day delivery of a highways scheme in Goole.

What You'll Be Doing
As a General Foreman, you will play a key role in ensuring highways construction activities are delivered safely, efficiently, on programme and to the required quality standards.
Your responsibilities will include:
·You will oversee day-to-day site operations, ensuring highways and civil engineering works are delivered safely and efficiently.
·You will supervise and coordinate site operatives, subcontractors and specialist trades to ensure works progress in line with the construction programme.
·You will work closely with the Site Agent and Works Manager to plan activities, allocate resources and manage daily site requirements.
·You will ensure labour, plant, materials and subcontractors are organised effectively to maintain productivity.
·You will monitor progress against programme targets, identifying potential delays and implementing practical solutions.
·You will ensure all site activities comply with health, safety, environmental and quality requirements.
·You will deliver site briefings, toolbox talks and daily coordination meetings to maintain safe working practices.
·You will review and implement risk assessments, method statements and safe systems of work.
·You will maintain accurate site records, including daily diaries, labour returns and progress reports.
·You will liaise with Engineers, Supervisors and subcontractors to ensure works are completed to specification.
What You'll Need
To be considered for this General Foreman opportunity, you will ideally have:
·Previous experience as a General Foreman, Section Foreman or Senior Foreman within highways or civil engineering.
·A strong background in delivering highways construction schemes, including earthworks, drainage, road construction or associated infrastructure works.
·Experience supervising site teams, subcontractors and construction activities.
·A good understanding of construction programmes, site productivity and resource management.
·Strong knowledge of health and safety requirements and safe working practices.
·The ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications and method statements.
·Excellent communication, leadership and problem-solving skills.
·Relevant industry certifications such as SSSTS or SMSTS and CSCS.
