Fire Watcher

💰 Rate: £20 p/h CIS or £15.10 PAYE

Fusion People are currently looking for a reliable Fire Watcher to join a team on a construction project. This role is essential in maintaining site safety by monitoring hot works and ensuring fire prevention procedures are followed at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitoring hot works activities such as welding, grinding, cutting, and burning operations
• Conducting regular fire safety inspections of designated work areas
• Remaining vigilant for potential fire hazards and taking immediate action where necessary
• Ensuring fire extinguishers and safety equipment are accessible and serviceable
• Maintaining accurate records of fire watch activities and inspections
• Reporting hazards, incidents, or unsafe practices to site management
• Ensuring compliance with site health, safety, and fire regulations

Requirements:

• Previous experience working on construction sites preferred
• Valid CSCS Card
• Fire Watcher certificate is essential
• Strong awareness of health and safety procedures
• Good communication skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and remain alert throughout shifts
