My client is an established engineering manufacturing firm, based in Sheffield, Yorkshire. They are currently seeking a skilled Manual Milling Machinist to join their existing team.

The Role - Manual Milling Machinist
- Working independently to produce components from drawings

• Using a variety of engineering techniques, including Manual Milling and CNC Milling (if experienced)
• Choosing materials and tooling, then producing the required part
• Quality checking components, using various measurement tools and techniques
• Other duties may arise - an open mindset is essential
• 35 hours per week
• Day Shifts, Monday to Friday, Flexible hours between 8.00am and 4.00pm

Experience Required - Manual Miller

• Experience in Manual Milling
• CNC Milling experience is desirable but not essential
• Basic Sheet Metal Fabrication & Assembly
• Small company experience / Must be adaptable
• Manual Lathe - not essential
• Siemens controls - not essential
• Must be able to work from drawings and be self-sufficient
• Work is in small batches and quite varied
• Ability to work directly from CAD drawings
• Quality checking and inspection experience
• Able to choose own materials and tooling
• Happy working with minimal supervision
• Must be able to commute to the Sheffield S3 postcode area
