Higher Level Teaching Assistant

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a welcoming primary school in Beckenham. The school is seeking an experienced and confident HLTA with a strong background in Upper Key Stage 2, particularly Year 6, to support pupils and contribute to their academic progress.

The Role:

Supporting teaching and learning across Upper Key Stage 2, with a particular focus on Year 6.

Leading whole-class learning activities and delivering lessons in the teacher's absence.

Supporting pupils in preparation for end-of-KS2 assessments and SATs.

Maintaining a positive, engaging and well-managed classroom environment.

Working closely with class teachers and the wider school team to support pupil progress.

Adapting learning activities to meet the needs of pupils with different abilities.

Requirements:

A recognised and relevant HLTA qualification is essential.

Proven experience working within Upper Key Stage 2, particularly Year 6.

Confidence delivering lessons and managing a classroom independently.

Strong behaviour management and communication skills.

A genuine commitment to supporting children's learning and development.
