Sen Teaching Assistant

The Role

As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

Providing individual support to a pupil throughout the school morning.
Supporting learning activities and helping the pupil access the curriculum.
Encouraging independence, confidence and positive engagement in the classroom.
Adapting support to meet the pupil's individual learning and developmental needs.
Working collaboratively with the class teacher and other school staff.
Promoting positive behaviour and maintaining a calm, supportive learning environment.
Supporting the pupil's social development and interactions with peers.
Carrying out Midday Supervisor duties from 12:00pm to 1:00pm, supervising pupils during lunchtime and playtime.
Promoting pupil safety, well being and positive behaviour throughout the school day.

Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.Previous experience working in a school, as a Teaching Assistant or providing 1:1 support would be advantageous. However, candidates with a genuine passion for supporting children and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.

Working Hours

Monday: 8:30am - 1:00pm
Tuesday: 8:30am - 1:00pm
Midday Supervisor duties: 12:00pm - 1:00pm on both daysThis role offers consistent part-time hours, making it an excellent opportunity for someone seeking a school-based position with a regular weekly schedule.
