Technical Tutor – Electrical
Location: Langley, Berkshire
Salary: £41,096–£44,165 per annum
Contract: Full-time, permanent

Think FE is recruiting an Electrical Technical Tutor for a further education college in Berkshire.
You’ll manage a caseload of electrical apprentices, providing practical coaching, mentoring and assessment to help them develop their skills and prepare for End Point Assessment. This role would suit an experienced electrical assessor or tutor who enjoys working closely with apprentices and employers.

The role

Coach and assess electrical apprentices, providing clear feedback on their progress.
Complete initial assessments and agree realistic learning plans.
Conduct progress reviews every 10–12 weeks with apprentices and their line managers, in person or remotely.
Monitor off-the-job training and maintain accurate learner records.
Work with employers, curriculum teams and assessment organisations to support apprentices through to completion.
Identify additional learning needs and coordinate appropriate support. What you’ll need

An appropriate electrical degree and/or vocational qualification, including 18th Edition and AM2/AM2S.
An assessor award, such as A1 or equivalent.
A teaching qualification, such as CET, DET or DTLLS, or a commitment to work towards one.
Level 2 English and Maths.
Experience working with apprentices, employers and awarding or assessment organisations.
Confidence supporting learners with different abilities and backgrounds.
Good organisational skills and confidence using e-portfolios, Microsoft Office and online learning systems. Next steps
