Salary: £41,729–£64,684 per year (annual salary equivalent), depending on qualifications and experience. Actual pay basis and assignment terms confirmed before placement.

Start date: 23 November 2026, or as soon as possible

Contract: Full-time, temporary, long-term.

Hours: Monday to Friday during term time, Exact hours agreed before placement.

About the role

Transparency Education is recruiting a KS2 Teacher for a primary school opportunity in Lewisham. You will lead engaging learning across the curriculum and help pupils explain their thinking, deepen understanding and take pride in their work.

The role calls for thoughtful planning, well-judged challenge and a classroom culture where every pupil can contribute. The year group will be discussed before placement so that your strengths and experience can be matched appropriately.

Key responsibilities

Design lessons that connect new learning with pupils’ existing knowledge.

Strengthen reading comprehension, purposeful writing and mathematical reasoning.

Use assessment to plan timely support and appropriate extension.

Work with colleagues and families to maintain clear expectations and share progress.

Requirements

To be eligible for this role and the stated pay, applicants must have:

QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

Strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum and effective assessment.

Inclusive teaching, positive behaviour management and collaborative working.

Appropriate qualifications and training for the responsibilities of the post.

Higher rates reflect substantial relevant teaching experience and qualifications. Pay follows school expectations and AWR, where applicable.
